Two men were fined by Accra High Court on Wednesday for gross misconduct on the premises of the court.
They were fined GHc 120 each by the court.
Kofi Atakora, a former boyfriend of the woman and George Sefah, the current boyfriend of the woman, were found guilty of disturbing the peace in a public place.
They will serve 20 days in jail if they fail to pay the fine per the court rulling.
Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, who presided over the case, found Atakora guilty on a second count after it emerged that he assaulted his former girlfriend during the fight.
He was fined an additional GHc 1,200 by the court or face 12 months in jail in default, with another court order requiring him to pay GHc 500 to his former girlfriend for assaulting her.
According to the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Kofi Atimbire, Atakora broke up with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Darko in 2008, but decided to sue her in 2013 on allegations that she was still in possession of some of his properties.
In February 2014, Elizabeth reported to the court to defend herself with her new lover, Sefah. Atakora, spotting them together, became angered and confronted the two lovers.
However, the confrontation led to a scuffle which in turn generated into a fight between the two men.
Both Atakora and Sefah sustained wounds after the fight, with the former deciding to take his revenge on Elizabeth by hitting her in the heat of the fight.
The matter subsequently ended up at DOVVSU, which led to the arrest of both men.
